I am only a teacher

I am only a teacher and have been so for 15 years. I went back to school to be one and when I first graduated from school it was hard too. It is hard in any profession when you are right out of college and starting out.
Be patient and live within your means. In the beginning I did have to work two jobs for the first three years and during my summers once my college loans were paid off which were 40,000 dollars in 5 years I got them paid off I was able to save more. Of course when I got married too having two incomes helps also but my husband is also only a teacher. Together we live pretty comfortably.

My house and cars are paid off. Of course my house could use some updating but that will come when I save for it. I know it is hard when you are young but as you get established it gets easier. I am very comfortable and happy. Sorry if you aren't. I make only 38,000 my husband makes 45,000 together that is pretty good. I could make more in another profession and I do spend a lot of my own money on my classroom. I still find myself very fortunate.
