Every Kindergarten is different, and each state has different goals for Kindergarten children. I teach Kindergarten in Illinois, and in my district we use the new Everyday Mathematics Curriculum. It works on addition and subtraction as well as various other mathematical concepts. Some of the concepts we work on are: patterns, shapes, recognizing and writing numbers 0 to 100, counting past 100, counting backwards, counting by 10's, 5's, and 2's, comparing weights of objects, comparing heights, gathering data and creating graphs, telling time, learning how to make tally marks, weather concepts and learning about the thermometer, and learning about money and the value of coins. I do not really understand why your daughter should memorize tables if she already knows how to add and subtract. I also don't think a Kindergartner should be learning how to multiply unless she has mastered all of the other math concepts. I'd say that the best advice is to talk to your daughters teacher and ask what math concepts they will be learning throughout the school year. You can work on strengthening her strong skills and helping to strenghten the skills she needs help with. Good luck!
