What about these?

Hi Denise,
You could have the kids compose christmas lists, even their own or they can make them up, and you can make it even more creative by having them create the lists, literally. By creating it they can make it look
like an old, dusty scroll, a snowflake, or anything else, this allows their imaginations to run wild and they will definitely want to write because they surely must have a lot of gifts on their minds, it being Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa and all!!!

Also, they could take one specific object, item, or topic within any holiday related to the above, such as Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hannukah(you

could even assign whichever you like to whomever you like) and they can research a little about it, history, cultural aspects, significance, etc. and they can write about it. Then, they could be creative by how they write it or what they write it on. Depending on what they research, they could design a cute little template resembling the object and then put their written piece on it.

Not only is this fun and creative, it also gets the kids researching and learning in-depth information about something they might have previously known very little about.

Good luck, I hope you find the advice you're looking for.
