What wonderful news.

I think I would wait until you begin to show to tell your students you are expecting a baby. You probably could even wait until they notice and ask you about it. Or you could make an annoucement once
you make it public.
As far as a note home to parents, I wouldn't do it simply because your plans could change down the road. You never know what may happen, your husband could be laid off and then you'd need to keep working etc., So the less said the better just in case your plans change.
I think once your baby is born and you know for sure you are staying home you could send a

message home via your school's newsletter as a thank you for their support over the past ___ years and that you are looking foward to staying at home to raise your new __________ this year.

Those you are closer to you can talk with out of school anyway. And who knows in a year or two you may have the opportunity to return part-time. Or you may even want to keep your name on a sub list just to have a day out now and then and to keep your skills up.

Enjoy these precious months ahead
