What I Do
By StephR

Clip to ScrapBook
I am a firm believer in the idea that if kids have nothing to do, they are not being productive...because of this I have a few routines set in place for all times...What I will list below is what they do when they enter the
room....

Every Monday, Tuesday and Thurday, my kids enter the room, turn in their homework folders and immediately begin working on their vocabulary packets. These packets are given out on Monday and are due on Fridays. The words are taken from the story selection of the week. The packets consist of definitions, parts of speech, sentences, a word search, a word scramble, etc...On

Wednesday and Friday, the students walk in a immediately begin on their Daily Math Packets....(this is because our district mandated that we move math to the morning on Wed and Fri) This is mostly review of all the previously covered material.. this is also given out on Mondays and is to be returned for a grade on Friday.

I just don't like when the kids odon't have anything to do when they walk in the class...so i always have things for them to do! And I also don't like when I have to write things on the board every day...so I give them a packet to complete...works for me!!! hope this helps you a bit
