Kindness Challenge
By Marsha Jordan

Clip to ScrapBook
I have a suggestion for another way the children can participate as classes together in the Kindness and Justice Challenge: visit the HUGS and HOPE web site for sick children at www.hugsandhope.org. The kids can read about
children who are battling life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, then they can make and mail cards to cheer these kids up. It's a great way for children to learn compassion and practice kindness. It means so much to the sick kids who are hospitalized or homebound. Receiving mail from other children gives them something to look forward to besides needles, tests, doctor visits
and pain.

I know the children in your school will enjoy participating in sending "happy mail" to some children who could use a smile.

Sincerely,
Marsha Jordan

The HUGS and HOPE Club for Sick Children is
making a difference for kids -- one smile at a time!

The Internet-based group of volunteers is devoted
to putting smiles on the faces of children
who might otherwise have little to smile about.
If you care about kids, join their ranks at www.hugsandhope.org

The smile you create just might be your own!
