the librarian
By Kiki

Clip to ScrapBook
Our librarian gets plan periods, AND a full time assistant. She is also quite nasty to the kids, hounding them if EVERY book they want to read is not Accelerated Reader or on their EXACT level. I say, if they find something
that they are interested in, LET THEM READ IT. Why does she have all of those OTHER books in there if no one is allowed to read them?
Anyway, my point was to agree with the above poster about special area teachers. In our school, they cancel music if the music teacher is out, they cancel media if the librarian is out(even if the full time assistant is there.) The art teacher complained
to the principal when one teacher was two minutes late because her twelve minute break turned into a ten minute break. (BTW, I am still wainting on my ten minute break. What's that?) They also tell our ESE teacher that she is considered one of them and therefore must share their afternoon duties. (Rotation style, so about one week a month or less) Tell me, how can she do another afternoon duty when she has bus duty every single day with kids that she must physically put on the bus?
I hope all schools don't have these same problems. On the other hand, our coaches are OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! aNd our computer lab? Absolutely over the top!

Whew! I feel much better now.
