No Subs
By Liz

Clip to ScrapBook
I am sick today and I had the hardest time finding a sub. I really don't want to offend anyone here, so if I do, I apologize ahead of time!

My dog ate my sub list (seriously...it's a golden retriever puppy and she will
chew up anything...she has chewed up pictures, books, paper plates, glasses, she eats money...) so I went to school early this morning to tell my principal and to get a sub. I called at least ten people this morning. One had a funeral, a couple didn't answer their phone, one just got back from vacation, several just said they were busy today, one guy (who has been calling asking about
subbing jobs) hung up on me! Only two were actually subbing today. By the time I had called everyone I was in tears and my principal was offering to take my class today.
We ended up calling one lady back who said she'd do it if we couldn't find anyone else, but I feel so bad! It is so frustrating that every time I get sick and need a sub no one can ever do it. It's not like I can call ahead of time, I didn't KNOW I'd be sick today. It just really gets me how RUDE some of these people were to me today. I will never, never call most of those people back to sub for me ever again.
Please don't get angry at me, I really needed to vent. I feel better now. (Well, not really, but I feel less frustrated)
