She's provoking you into a shout match. Don't fall for it. If you scream back, you will lose in the long run. You are up for renewal. She is not. Did it occur to you that she may be after YOUR job? What you can do is use
humor and laughter to keep her at bay.
My personal favorite for subs that overstep boundaries is "You don't have enough education to give me advice."
cruel yet it does seem to shut them up.
Also the next time she says something nasty. Start to laugh like she just told you the funniest joke and walk AWAY. I promise you, she will just stand there with a blank look on her face and won't

have a clue what to do.

If she corners you in your room, press the intercom "call" button so the administrator can listen in. Tape recorders work great as well.

If you can count on her to put on a show everyday, maybe send a letter home inviting parents to come visit your class next week for national school week. I'm sure your principal would love to hear from parents everyday about what they witnessed.

Oh yeah, and if she so much as touches you or your students: go straight to the principal and then to the police.
If she gets a hold of a student YOU are responsible for and does something physical, I hope you have good insurance or a good lawyer in the family. So you better be prepared to insist that your principal DO SOMETHING!!!!!
