kids or work?
By Heather

Clip to ScrapBook
That is funny, I was just talking about this with my husband the other day. I have a 6 year old. We weren't together when she was born. I had to work 40 plus hrs a week, and went to school until she was 1, so I missed the
first step, first word, first tooth, every thing! I hated it. It was depressing.

After I married my husband, I decided to babysit. So I had that chance to be there for her. I started a pre school program with the kids that I babysat, so I had the chance to be the one to teach her A,B,C's, and 1,2,3's. It was wonderful.

When she turned 4, I decided to persue a career in Education, and

here I am.

Now that we are talking about another kid, I told him that I WOULD be staying home for at least 3-4 years. I know that we will have to cut back on alot of things, but it is going to be tight.

You think about it. Staying at home won't be so bad. Be creative. We took trips to the library, in the warmer months we went swimming, to the park. I met up with other SAHM's, we met once a week at the local park, let our kids play together, done arts and crafts etc....

Your job will be there next year, or the year after that.... it isn't going to be deleted. It may be hard to decide, but I am sure that your decision, will be the best for your situation.
