By all means, continue to walk around with a huge smile each day so that you can confuse everybody. I did that after the drug addict refused to renew my contract in mid-April. The "druggie" also had the gall to ask me if I was quitting after he told me he wasn't renewing my contract. I told him, "Absolutely not!" I think that's what he was hoping for. He probably also wanted tears and misery, too. Why the heck would I leave??? Quit with only a month and a half left to go??? After that, I realized that I wasn't going to change my attitude for the rest of the year, since the problem was clearly with the people I worked with, not me. I also kept one very important thought in my mind: I was there for the kids. Those sweet little second grade kids and nobody else. I kept my focus for the remainder of the year on doing great and wonderful things for those children I cared so much about. I continued to teach, come to work with enthusiasm, and do my job. I maintained a proper attitude towards everything and everybody. I left there in early June feeling good about myself. I hadn't given up on professionalism, and in the end, I think I impressed everybody. With regard to Belk's: You just have to wait for a sale. They are just so expensive. I never saw a pair of capris there for that much, but I did see some cute ones with little froggies on them and some others with butterflies recently. They were only $24 on sale. Cute. You are lucky that you can sew.
