That slippery slope

Don't you hate when things like this happen!

Actually what you did sounds like something I'd do, thankfully I have an administrator who would have laughed along with it.

I think if I was in your shoes, I'd go in early
on Monday and corner the Principal before he has a chance to call you in. Let him know as soon as the door closes that you understand that he has seen the calendar you created and that you just wanted to let him know that you did this in the spur of the moment as something fun to do (a stress reliever from the week) and in no means meant to offend or hurt anyone.
Then tell him that

you did share it with your teaching partner and you had not planned for it to go any further than that but obviously it had. Then apologize for hurting anyone with this and say you'll refrain from doing it in the future.

Then see how he responds. He may have read some of your comments as negative to his approach and may question on those specifically. So think up an answer ahead of time. Something along the lines that you wrote the comments based on "common" humour about things like meetings with supervisors and staff meetings. You know how everyone likes to joke about how long staff meetings take, etc., and that your comments were not in reflection of his leadership.

It's a hard lesson to learn, but you know now how far you can trust your teaching partner with things. I would always be cautious now as to what you share with her.

You may also want to bring this up to her so she realizes the position she has placed you in.
