I was taking it as a personal assault, because it was. She called the principal numerous times and we had to meet with her. The principal refused to move the daughter. I later found out, because the girl told me, that the mom moved to California ("for her job")and left the daughter with the step dad. How strange is that? She came back every other weekend to visit. Whatever reason caused this, I decided, was what caused the assault on me before she left. Bottom line: She had big time personal problems and a jealousy issue with me and right before she left decided to attack me. There could be an outside reason that this mother is acting out. It most likely has NOTHING to do with you. Just try to ride it out. That's what I did. Good luck!
