You're just a "spring chick"... By piswit

I was 51 when I did my student teaching and now am a 1st year teacher at 52. Hang in there! You will find that any "life experience" really comes in handy. BTW, I had a wonderful experience with my student teaching co-op teacher that was the same age as my daughter. We got along wonderfully.
