I also teach 6th grade. I team teach with 4 other teachers and we came up the an idea that is working for all of us. We typed up sentences using the spelling words and vocabulary words from out reading series-much like the DOL pages. We place them on the overhead so students begin right away. Some sentences came strait from the reading story. We offer three per day is.
