writing (open ended)
listening (books/tapes in zip lock baggies)
reading (open choice)
making words (magnetic letters, make spelling words)
big books (use pointers to 'read" big books from week's reading )
math (specific math skill practiced)
abc (letter, word activities)
pocket chart
puzzles and games
