spelling lessons

Actually I'm not a classroom teacher I'm a homeschool mom. What I usually do for spelling words is I look over the weekley reading assignment for vocabulary words, and also use those words as spelling words, and I sometimes add words from social studies lessons such as names of states, or I just go to the Scipps Howard National Spelling Bee Consolidated Word List. Between these sources I always have spelling words.
