I also have a phenomenal number of chatterboxes this year. Lately I just set a timer, sit in my rocker and wait. This amount of time comes off of a 20 minute recess. It usually only takes a few seconds to get their attention. If you work the timer correctly, it will just add the time if you need to do it several times a day. Once you move toward the timer - you have their attention.
