the biggest thing that I can stress is treating her like an equal. Allow her to make decisions in the classroom. You have to have equal power when she is there. The kids know who is in charge and if they see you both as in charge then it won't come to them treating her as if she doesn't matter. I've had this happen a few times. Kids like to play Mom against dad, so please don't let them.
