What to do?

Do like your cooperating teacher said, and GET OUT! If I were you, I would talk to my supervisor right away. This teacher is hurting you by not letting you do the things you need to. You need to get a better placement if at all possible! They aren't all like that. I did two short-term (once a week) and one full-time internship. All were rich and rewarding experiences from teachers whose goal was for me to be successful.
