your centers
By CH

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi. First of all, make a chart of your rules and expectations for centers. Then go over it every day with your class for at least a week. How long are each of your centers? Remember that 1st graders' attention spans are pretty short and can not very often last past 10 minutes or so. Keep your centers relatively short. Another idea is to keep little timers at the centers so that they are aware of their time. Good luck!
