Perkins Loan

My Perkins Loan was forgiven during my time at my current teaching position. Each year I taught at the low performing school it was forgiven a certiain percentage. Over the course of 5 years, it eventually was 100% forgiven. There is a similar program for the Stafford Loan, but I am not sure who qualifies for that one or not. Call your lender to find out...that is what I did! It is definately worth it to make the inquiry!
