subjects and predicates
By Sarah

Clip to ScrapBook
I had my class pair up with a partner and I gave each pair a plain piece of paper and a picture book. They divided the paper in half and labeled each half. The first half was labeled Who/What (subject) and the second half was labeled Is/Does (predicate). They then used the pictures to fill in the chart. They had to make sure that the two parts put together made a complete sentence. This seemed to really help.
