My kids love Kaboom! We play it with everything even with different subjects. I'm still going to use it for idioms, but I'm going to wait until we finish the current English unit before playing it and will use everything covered in the unit. Usually I use 3-4 concepts covered in English and test them on those. We kind of combine reading, writing, and English. Some days we just do one or two, other days all three, it just depends.
