reading homework

My third graders are required to read 20 minutes in addition to their regular homework assignments. I give them a reading log on Monday night. They are responsible for filling out the title of the book, author, and pages read for each night. On Friday I collect the logs and keep them in a folder which I use at parent conferences. It is also a good idea to let the students see mid-way through the year how much they have read!
