Just make sure you teach the students that multiplication & division are done in order, left to right before you add and subtract, which are also done in order, left to right. I teach 8th grade math and you would NOT believe how many students know the phrase and think first you do all the multiplication and then all the division and then all the addition and last all the subtraction. Show them some examples of how misunderstanding those rules gives the wrong answer.
