I don't know this little girl, but it sounds as though she may need to learn some perserverance. We all have to do things that may not be top interest. Perhaps tell her this lesson will take so many minutes (maybe even set a clock) and then give her so many minutes of choice activities at the end if she sticks with it. Whether it is Aesop fables or anything else she will need to learn to stick with it to learn anything.
