    I also use the children to make patterns and as they get good at it I start the pattern then I call on a child and ask them to show us what they should do to continue the pattern (ie. hand on head, hand on nose, hand on tummy) I whisper to the first children what to do then I call on a child and they show us and we keep going- they love this and you can easily see who understands this concept.
