Lock those doors

Talk to the other teacher right away and at least make an effort to become good aquaintences. Teachers usually "snitch" on new teachers because they either feel uncomfortable about talking to someone they don't know very well yet (you), or they are just being a jerk. You'll have to decide which type of person that teacher is by visiting with them a couple of times. Also, now you know there are 100 reasons to ALWAYS lock your door to your classroom when you leave.
