yes you can request a new IEP but as a warning - be prepared for the sped teacher to tell you that you can't...so don't waver in your request, say that you know by law you can request the IEP to be reinvestigated and modified if needed. You're requesting the IEP because of educational concerns...state that...and again remain firm and stick to your guns...because I'm betting your special ed teacher has never had a regular ed teacher request this from her....
