You may want to combine the lesson with some math or other activity to add more interest as well.

For example - you could buy a variety of apples and have the students open them up and count the seeds inside. They could then taste the apples.

You could graph the number seeds, etc.,

Then you could discuss the seasons, beginning with the seed, how it grows into a tree and then how the tree changes with the seasons moving into your science lesson.
