Spelling Fun!

Last year, we used the Dolch words, the most frequenly used words. We used pp-1 grade words and incorporated them into our basal readers. By the end of the year, we began incorporated the 2nd grade words. Since these are the words most frequently used, the appeared in the stories over and over! This year, we have adopted the Harcourt Trophies series. We are using their words which I have found are mostly dolch words! Our ESOL teacher uses word families and gives our spelling test for them.
