I teach first grade and when my children do "silent reading" it isn't quiet at all. So, I am interested in this idea of the pvc pipe. Are you making ear phones for the students to wear or is it like a mike for them to read in, or how is it being used? I hate to be dense, but I would like a little more information. Also, what does it cost approximately to make one and how is it made since I obviously don't even have a clue?
