Hi, I completed my reading specialist certification this Spring, congrats for almost making it! In Virginia, many schools administer the PALS. ( Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening) This was developed by UVA. I think it is a great tool, as I have perfomed my own informal assessments and find that PALS scores are almost identical or result in the same feedback on the students stage in reading development. This would be a good one to report on if you are looking for something that works and is worthwhile. Good Luck!
