Word Journals

Hey- I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but i'll tell you what our school does. We have word journals that the kids start in first grade. Any time they have difficulty spelling a word they bring the jounral to the teacher and she writes it in there for them. Then they have to copy it to what they are working on. By the time the get to me they know what they have to do to get a word spelled. It works pretty well.
