My Father's Dragon

I used to read the trilogy every year to my class and they loved it. They are simple chapter books that are good for the beginning of the year. Haven't used them in several years, so will now dig them out.Also, have you tried the "Horrible Harry" series of books? I read one to my class last year and the kids just begged for me to bring the whole set so they could read them on their own. Those books were so popular.....they got stolen!!! (and eventually returned!)
