Fluency

My understanding is that reading fluency is the number of correct words read per minute. At different points in the year a student should be able to correctly read a certain number of words per minute. If I were grading on fluency, I would determine the expected fluency rate and grade students on whether they are above, at, or below that rate per minute.

Each week I do a one minute "Fluency Probe" on each student and use that information to set my reading groups/partners.
