Sounds like one of mine! :)

Wow! It sounds like you have one of my fifth graders from last year. Hang in there, eventually all parties involved will get so fed up with his behavior that he'll get the point. I had a student last year who started behaving the same way at home and at school, so I finally got parent support. I found that being calm and not overreacting to the student really seemed to work. She wasn't able to gain attention anymore. Good luck! At least he will keep the year interesting, to say the least.
