I was a terrific sub for two years and then told them to pull my name off the sub list because I found out that since I was a good sub I wouldn't get my own room. A year after I stopped subbing I got my own classroom! It's a choice you need to make. I would give it a try then after the year is over and if you feel they overlooked you then decide then if you should do something outside of education or look elsewhere for a classroom. Good luck.
