But it's not exactly a-typical in the Bronx. I don't mind so much that nobody hires an exterminator. If you live in NYC, you've seen rats. What I *do* mind is the implication that the rats are OUR fault, and the idea that stopping food in the classrooms will somehow fix the problem. The cafeteria is in the basement of the building. So are the rats. Don't take away the teachers' ability to have lunch AND the students' snack time if it's not going to make one iota of difference on the rat problem.
