Political Salaries Averaging
By StephR

Clip to ScrapBook
Another idea would be to get a list of the salaries of the high ranking political officials in our government (a social studies tie in to 5th grade history curriculum) Then you can have the kids average various combinations of the salaries, to see what the average yearly salary of those high ranking officials would be. For example, What is the average of the President, Vice President and Secretary of State's salaries? This brings not only averageing, but adding greater numbers, and dividing greater numbers. A lot of math tie ins to social studies!!
