Addresses
By KimTN

Clip to ScrapBook
I write each child's name and address on a postcard, which the students learn at home. When the student knows his/her address, the postcard is returned to school. I write a message to the student, add a stamp, and mail the postcard. This isn't really a way of teaching addresses, but it always motivates my students to learn them.

Sometimes I begin with the ice cream cone approach where you write the country on the cone, and add scoops of ice cream for the state, zip code, town, street, street number, and name.
