counting by fives
By Cheryl

Clip to ScrapBook
How about counting by fives by counting the value for nickels? I do this in my class when we work on money, and the kids love it! You can have a little store to shop in (not items to keep, but just to practice with), let them price items from catalogs at a "special sale price" and then have others buy them, etc.
I also made a leap frog game to practice counting by 5s, 10s, and 25s where little frogs have to jump to the right lilly pads to count correctly. hope this helps!
