Hi! How about having students write about their favorite name (theirs or not) and tell why they think it is their favorite? They could have very funny and touching reasons for picking the names that they do. They may pick a name because of a special person in their life, their own name for a special reason, etc. Also, maybe they could write about a time when they changed their mind about something. (Didnt like it at first, then began to like it, like Chrysanthemum's classmates did with her name.) Hope these ideas help! Good luck!
