Job from subbing

It depends on the district. The district I did a long term sub in only interviews prospective teachers who subbed for positions in their district. I did a long term sub position, 6 months, last year when I couldn't find and job and I was the first one hired for this school year. I say sub and get to know people. I had a difficult class and I overcame major obstacles and those in the district knew this. Plus because of the challenges, I became close with many of the staff and administrators in the district.
