I'm sure there are TONS of districts in NY so I only looked up NYC. Last year a first year certified teacher made a base salary of 39,000. You can add to that depending on degrees, additional credits and some other stuff I didn't really understand because we don't have those other options here in Texas.
If you try googling the words "salary schedule" with the name of districts you have in mind you will probably find the information you want. Most districts have that information publically online.
