I'm so glad to hear this!

When I first started teaching, everyone said I just HAD to get a copy of The First Days of School by Harry Wong. Although another new teacher and I agreed that the book was totally useless, I have never been able to freely express my opinions about Harry without being made to feel like I was insulting some diety or something. I think Harry got his degree at Duh! University. His ideas are so obvious. Yet, somehow, as others have said, these ideas still aren't the cure-all for some of the most difficult (and common) situations.
