I appreciate your responses. We did have a talk, initiated by the teacher assistant. I guess she figured what I was feeling. She stated she wasn't trying to make me feel bad when she gave suggestions, but just trying to share what worked with her in the past. Anyway, things were better this week, and I hope they continue. I have given her a few more things to do with the class, and I have tried to relinquish my firm grip on the class. I admit, I am a sensitive, so sometimes things bother me that ordinarily shouldn't.
