observation jitters
By Miranda

Clip to ScrapBook
Nellie: First of all, calm down! Whenever she comes, morning or afternoon, she'll be looking for classroom management techniques, curriculum content and your ability to ask higher level questions and differentiate instruction while being a nurturing calm, in- control teacher. So with this in mind, try to be yourself. Try also, to develop some management cues that the kids respond to well. The thing you've got going for you is ...if she's new too, she's probably not 100% sure about what she's looking for! Try to have some pre-observation discussions about what you should be focusing on. Good luck!
