Explorers

I am in the midst of this unit myself. We are going to do Pedro's Journal in Lit. Circles. My students will draw an explorers name to research. They will also create a data disk (idea borrowed from a previous co-worker) that will display their explorer info. They will also do a written report as well as chart on a map where their explorer explored! We will be spending the next month completing our projects. I also found the explorer graveyard/cemetary idea on the internet that I am talking to our art teacher about doing with the kids.
